The earlier regulators do voltage only, the later ones regulate current, too. Early generators had a setting to limit current, the later ones depend upon the regulator to do that. Thus mixing later gen with early regulator can burn up the generator if you have a condition like a seriously discharged but good quality battery. The tag was bad on this one so I stamped a new tag for you...
Makes for a sharp looking unit! This unit is drilled to be used with the voltage/current regulator mounted right on the generator. Fully tested under full load as well as with the right regulator. If you need a pulley check my other listings and see if I have the one you need.
